After months of private events, this club is open to the public. It resembles the interior of a swanky house, with a flatscreen- and couch-saturated living room/dance floor, leather-trimmed bedroom/VIP area, and kitchen/bar that you can make chocolate-chip cookies at every night.

In tthe back of Cole's (behind an oak door marked only with a framed drawing of a cocktail), you'll find this cuteittle bar. The look is turn-of-the-century, with cushioned, slatted-wood booths and a penny-tile floor; drinks are also pretty old school as well. While their website leaves much to be desired, we will give them the benefit of hte doubt that it will improve since they open their dooes today. The Varnish Bar Website

Did ya miss me?

I know I haven't been adding my sugar to what's been going on lately but I had to step away from the keyboard and live life a little.

But I'm back now and dedicated to showing some love on stuff that I like, you like and we both dabble in.

Starting next week, I am going to be sharing hot spots in LA including restaurants, bars, lounges, spoken word venues, comedy clubs, etc.

I feel like every time I call people they never know what to do, where to go or what's going on in our own city.

I also will be adding some sugar to daily stuff that catches my eye that I think would make your day including discounts at hot spots and VIP info. to enhance your life.

So until then, keep checking back, staying classy and fabulous and ready for your life to get a whole lot sweeter.
